Position Summary

Primary responsibility for all positions with Wynn’s is to provide exceptional service to Every Customer, Every time. We are seeking an experienced Deli Manager who is committed to providing top notch customer service and leadership in a fast-paced market. Wynn’s Deli Department focuses on freshly prepared gourmet salads, entrees, and grab and go meals using in-house recipes. The Deli Manager is the key component of the success of the department and the day-to-day operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for Superior Service goals of the Department
• Supervise department staff to include scheduling, training, counseling and assigning tasks
• Lead department as a positive role model with priority in excellent customer service
• Create and suggest innovative recipes and menus
• Responsible for creating pricing for all products and items in order to meet/exceed departmental margin expectations.
• Responsible for the sales and profitability of the Department
• Ensure standards of Department presentation and operations are met; including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, rotation, quality, ordering, variety standards, signing, seasonal schematic
• Responsible for ordering and inventory control
• Ensure the Department has the highest quality of product available for the customer
• Monitor to ensure variety standards are followed, as well as 100% compliance on ad item display
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by all members of the department.
• Assist other associates and department leads in achieving the overall store goals
• Know store layout/product location to refer the customer to the appropriate aisle when asked.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/GED or relevant work experience
• 2 years’ experience managing/operating fast pace and high volume in Food Industry/Grocery

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach, motivate, supervise, delegate, and constructively address performance issues.
• Ability to perform task in a fast-paced environment
• Understand, follow, and enforce Department of Health regulations

Physical Demands:

• Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; at times, product weight may reach 50 lbs. Requires the ability to move heavy product with assistance
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb and balance on a step stool/ladder.
• Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Ability to sustain repetitive arm and hand motion.

Work Environment:

• Ability to work under a variety of conditions and temperatures, wet and dry, for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work safely around kitchen machinery and sharp tools
