My son is on the spectrum and has autoimmune issues so we homeschool. I will continue to oversee that except for occasional help. I need someone that understands or is willing to learn how to work with him. He is very verbal but needs assistance with working through problems. We built our apartment in my mom’s basement as she has cancer (not related to nanny position but information. Ideal for someone going to work in a special needs field. Minimal cleaning and cooking. Will need to have insurance and a clean driving record. Driving will be involved and we will work out gas as well. This is a longer term care job - at least one year.
Days: Monday 8-3:30 Tuesday 8-1 Wednesday 7:30-3:30 Thursday 8-1 One week off the first week of June and the week between Christmas and New Year.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, such as in daycare, nannying, or babysitting roles
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of age-appropriate developmental milestones and activities
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or needs of the children
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or school-aged children is preferred but not required
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
