RN Nurse Manager - No Nights, Weekends or On-Call

Wyatt Surgery Center is seeking an experienced, skilled and charismatic RN Nurse Manager to join our growing team. Wyatt Surgery Center, located on the Tucson Medical Center campus, is a large, 4-operating room surgical center. This key and highly visible leadership position will report directly to the Administrator/Director of Nursing and oversee a growing staff of outstanding clinical team members.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Admin/Director of Nursing in leading a team of nurses and healthcare professionals ensuring Wyatt is the facility of choice for patients, surgeons and delivers outstanding clinical care and outcomes.
• Day to day management and oversight of clinical staff.
• Manage clinical staff staffing and scheduling to ensure a safe environment, efficient operations and positive work environment.
• Evaluate performance of staff on an annual basis, in collaboration with facility executives and medical staff leadership.
• Oversee and provide education and orientation to clinical staff.
• Compliance oversight for infection control, code cart and other healthcare regulations and standards.
• Ability to serve in a clinical role - assess patient health status/vitals, admit, recover and administer medications.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families related to their procedures.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve patient outcomes and overall quality of care.
• Surgical experience with ortho/spine procedures, pain management procedures and neurosurgical procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by the Administrator/Director of Nursing.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience as a surgical nurse, preferably with spine, pain, and neurosurgical procedures.
• Knowledge of common medical conditions, treatments, and medications
• Ability to effectively manage a team of healthcare professionals

• Current ACLS/BLS Certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership and team management skills
• Self-Motivated & Driven for Success
• Valid Arizona Registered Nurse License
