Wyatt Management is Hiring a Project Superintendent Near Fort Worth, TX

Seeking candidate for an open Project Superintendent position for commercial construction.

The Superintendent will be assigned commercial construction projects where they will be responsible for overseeing and directing trade partners in the planning, scheduling, and effective execution of their scope of work to provide a finished building product that meets or exceeds client s expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Superintendent shall be responsible for inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Communicate with project team regarding ASI s, RFI s, and Material Submittals.
  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards and convey to Project Manager so notices can be issued for non-compliance to subcontracts regarding quality of work or scheduling.
  • Maintain daily log of activities on the job site via Procore/RedTeam.
  • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  • Preside over weekly huddle subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Track the inventory of supplies and materials to guard against loss and to ensure that vital materials are ordered and delivered to meet schedule.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
  • Opening the job site at beginning of the day and securing the job site at the end of the day.
  • Provide direction to and resolve problems among subcontractors and vendors.
  • Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources; Develops realistic action plans.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions ; Uses equipment and materials properly.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
  • Construction management experience preferably the usage of Procore, Microsoft Office (Excel, word, project & Outlook)
  • Able to effectively read blueprints and perform building layouts
  • Can communicate effectively via phone, email, text.
  • Possesses good Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.
  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests; Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed.
  • Dynamic leader with exceptional organization and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Hands on construction experience.
  • Have previous experience and knowledge of commercial construction processes.
  • Ability to use a calculator to do basic mathematics (Addition, Subtraction, Division, and Multiplication)
  • Must have a working cell phone
  • Must have a valid driver s license and reliable vehicle
