WVAH of Tualatin is Hiring a Veterinary Receptionist Near Tualatin, OR

Willamette Valley Animal Hospital of Tualatin is a fast-paced walk-in veterinary clinic. We are a four doctor small animal practice committed to providing affordable and quality care to our furry friends!

We are looking for a full or part-time veterinary receptionist that shares our love for animals to join our fast paced hospital! The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service, is highly self-motivated and works well as a team and independently, animal handling is a plus. The veterinary receptionist is a key member of our team who is the first point of contact for our clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting clients and checking them in, answering phones and emails, showing clients and pets into exam rooms, going over prescribed medication instructions with owners and checking them out.
  • Taking a brief history of patient.
  • Getting a weight and a temperature from patient once in the exam room.
  • Scheduling and confirming surgical appointments.
  • Placing calls to other clinics to obtain medical records.
  • Presenting and explaining charges, processing payments.
  • Filling prescription medications accurately.
  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and general pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring the lobby is neat at all times.
  • Sterilizing exam rooms in between patients.
  • Previous experience with Covetrus Pulse (EvetPractice) would be a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
