Position Summary:
The purpose of the Surface Specialist role is to intently focus on a narrow range of products within the Decorative Surfaces category to produce aggressive sales results. The Decorative Surfaces product range consists of items being used for Countertops, Sinks, HPL, and TFL (design matching program), items which have been defined by management as having significant growth opportunities. The Surface Specialist is tasked with achieving and/or exceeding company KPI (Key Performance Indicators) sales metrics. This person will spend most of the time in the field targeting/visiting fabrication shops (Countertop Fabricators), Kitchen and bath cabinetry companies, and home builders/remodelers (med-large scale) with efforts to educate, support, and sell surface-related products. The Surface Specialist will develop sales growth by working closely with our sales team to develop target customers, conduct field travel (with and without the salesperson), develop customer relationships, and establish viable customer programs. This position requires the employee to have complete knowledge of the various surface product lines we offer.
