$2000 Performance Bonus: Drivers in good standing with the company will receive $1,000 after 90 days of employment and another $1,000 after 180 days of employment. Wurth Baer Supply Company, one of the nation's premier distributors to the woodworking industry, is seeking a reliable and responsible Driver - CDL B to support our Londonderry, NH facility and product delivery operations. We have 24' Curtain-side Box Trucks with standard transmissions (in the process of ordering automatic so must have manual experience). There are no tractor trailer units in this fleet due to the rural nature of this market. Weather conditions during the winter also may have weight restrictions the type of truck that can be driven. No nights or weekends! We have two CDL-B driver positions available.
You will help load the company truck and transport Wurth Baer Supply products to customers when needed. The cargo consists of cabinets, hardware, wood/laminate, and lacquer/finish. You will use an app via a company-provided cell phone to plan your route. As one of the most often seen representatives of the Company, you will conduct yourself in a positive and friendly manner and provide quality service with each delivery. When needed, you will assist with general warehouse operations (receiving, picking, etc.).
An essential function of this role requires employees to lift and lower packages that may weigh up to 70 pounds. Attention to safety is vital, the use of proper lifting and lowering techniques should be used at all times (adjust your body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot). You may also need to become accustomed to the fluctuating temperatures in which you will perform your duties. As this position is customer-facing, an excellent customer focus attitude is critical for success.
Driver Schedule, Stops, and Vehicle:
You will be assigned one of the following shifts on a Monday-Friday work schedule: 6:00am-2:30pm, 6:30am-3:00pm, or 7:00am-3:30pm. You will serve an average of 6 to 8 stops per day ranging from 240 miles on a shorter day to 380 miles on a longer day. The current expectation is to complete your daily route. Drivers incur weekly overtime ranging from 4 to 12 hours. You will serve NH, ME, VT, and the northern portion of MA. As many of the rural highways have weight restrictions, you will be driving a 24-ft curtain side truck with a 10-speed manual transmission.
Qualifications:

• A valid Class B
• 1 years of experience driving manual transmission 10-speed Tractor Trailer is a plus
• A clean driving record for the past three years in all states where licensed
• Pass a medical examination for commercial driver fitness and obtain the required medical card in compliance with 49 CFR 391.43
• Pass a pre-employment screening for DOT controlled substances, in compliance with 49 CFR 40 and 49 CFR 382.
• Previous warehousing experience preferred
• Good problem-solving skills
