This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Agency Project Manager for Transportation Related Facilities/Buildings for our Ephrata, PA office. The following location will also be considered: Philadelphia, PA. Be involved in projects with our Transportation Facilities Construction Management/Program Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. 

The Transportation Facilities Group (TFG) leads and manages projects that support local and regional growth initiatives through small and large transportation projects. Our goal is to team with our agency clients and to develop solutions to the complex challenge of advancing transportation throughout the region. 

The candidate will manage construction projects and all its various facets, quality, budget and schedule. The candidate will act as the single point of contact between the client and WSP and be responsible for the overall success of the project. Tasks may include program management, project management and or construction management activities in the design, project letting, construction and closeout phases for the renovation of existing or construction of new transportation-type facilities. The candidate may also be asked to lead or assist on technical proposals and business development activities, attend, or facilitate internal or external client meetings, perform management of projects, and assigned staff.

Project Letting – 

  • Bid Document Assembly
  • Authoring of Division 00 and Division 01 Specifications
  • Development and Distribution of Addenda
  • Facilitation of Pre-Bid Meetings and Minutes
  • Assist in Bid Evaluations

Construction – 

  • Project Management 
  • Submittal review and management, including register development and tracking
  • RFI review and management, including register development and tracking 
  • Schedule Management
    • Review and analysis
  • Cost Management
    • Pay Application Review
    • Certified Payrolls
    • DBE Participation Verification 
    • Change Management Verification 
  • Meeting Facilitation and Minutes
  • Issue Resolution
  • Conflict Management
  • Claims Mitigation

Closeout – 

  • Punchlist 
  • As-Built Collection and Verification
  • Operations and Maintenance Manuals Verification
  • Facilitation of Final Change Orders and Pay Applications

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • 7 – 10 years of proven construction project management experience
  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science or related field or relevant experience
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and management principles
  • Experience with MS Office Suite of products
  • Experience with Bluebeam Software
  • A team player with leadership capabilities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • State or Federal Transportation Related Experience
  • Oracle P6 Scheduling Software
