Rago/Wright is looking for an experienced Personal Property Appraiser to join our growing team in Chicago, IL. Qualified candidates will be knowledgeable in fields of art and design. This on-site or hybrid position requires a passionate and hard-working individual with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and execute across a wide range of tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients regarding the appraisal process
• Inspect the item or property being appraised to assess its condition, quality, and other relevant factors
• Identify, and catalog property for appraisal and valuation
• Appraise items in an efficient and comprehensive manner using independent research and by working with our network of Specialists
• Prepare appraisal reports and manage documentation work files efficiently
• Ensure that appraisals are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Maintain USPAP compliance and stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices
• Provide day-of-sale auction assistance as needed

Qualifications:

• USPAP certification and ISA or AAA membership
• A minimum BA degree is preferred
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
