Wright State Physicians, Inc - Staff Careers is Hiring a Physician Liaison Near Fairborn, OH

General Summary: An exempt position responsible for physician sourcing, relationships, building/maintaining a provider recruitment pipeline, and implementing full cycle provider recruitment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to finding applicants, initial contact, coordinating interviews and contracts, hiring, orientation/onboarding, offboarding, and coordinating physician-related questions and needs related to these areas.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and communicate physician recruitment needs and identified opportunities developed during networking activities and meetings with internal physicians and leadership.
  • Understand, initiate, monitor, and liaise on behalf of the processes and approvals for provider recruitment, including position requisitions, postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, and contracting for provider positions.
  • Collaborate on marketing initiatives and attend events related to provider recruitment campaigns, provider networking, and improving patient access.
  • Support onboarding providers and associated processes from the release of an offer, including coordinating pre-hire checks, new employee orientation sessions, and IT requests and monitoring progress made by other units throughout the onboarding processes (e.g., credentialing, insurance enrollment, etc.).
  • Develop and strengthen relationships between WSP physicians internally and between WSP physicians and local healthcare network partners.
  • Provide tours and facilitate introductions for all new providers and any other provider with identified needs for networking.
  • Meet with referring physicians periodically with a mutualized goal of developing patient access to specialty services.
  • Understand, initiate, monitor, liaise on behalf of, and maintain electronic records regarding provider promotions, transfers, terminations, and other status changes.
  • Maintain an awareness of organizational policies and procedures, as well as laws and regulations related to provider recruitment, employment, marketing, and referrals. As needed, assist with reporting to government agencies such as Affirmative Action, EEO, Civil Rights, Immigration, etc.
  • Develop and maintain the capacity of being a trusted and timely point of contact for questions regarding recruitment, contracting, employment, benefits, and referrals for internal, external, and applicant providers.
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of and connections with auxiliary services for onboarding providers, such as realtors, schools, moving services, etc.
  • Provide ongoing assessment and feedback on the recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience required.

    Experience: 2 years’ experience as a physician recruiter or 5 years in healthcare roles that directly interfaced with physicians. Established experience learning new software and competent, efficient workflows using multiple software solutions is required.

    Other Requirements: The employee is expected to protect the privacy of all client/patient information in accordance with Wright State Physicians privacy policies, procedures and practices as required by Federal (and State) law and in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health care provider.
