Wright Contracting, Inc. is Hiring an Excavator Operator Near Raleigh, NC

EXCAVATOR OPERATOR

Central North Carolina Based Construction Company, looking for Experienced Excavator Operators to join our team for projects throughout the Southeast US. Equipment would include, or similar to, Caterpillar 323-330 Class Excavators. Knowledge in reading/understanding plans & GPS Experience is preferred.

Hourly Rates: $22 - $32

Responsibilities

  • A work environment focusing on safe and efficient operation of equipment to maintain target schedule.
  • Routine daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance of equipment, keeping equipment in good working conditions and reporting safety or maintenance requirements or concerns.
  • Complete any paperwork, documents and/or reports as required.
  • Compliance with all company and individual site policies and procedures.
  • Maintain safe, clean and orderly jobsites, company vehicles and company equipment.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience operating large excavators.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the office or the jobsite.
  • Must be able and willing to travel to projects throughout the Southeast US and Texas as needed.
  • Flexible work schedule, that allows for overtime and weekend work when needed.
  • GPS Experience (Topcon or Trimble).

Work Environment/Physical Condition

  • Routinely lift 20 lbs. and on occasion, up to 50 lbs.
  • Safely ascend and descend heavy equipment unassisted.
  • Work for Long Periods (10-hour shifts or longer) through all types of weather conditions and terrain.
  • Lift, carry, stand, or walk on uneven, possibly wet/slick, terrain.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
