As part of this process, we have identified the need for a crucial new role, the Workday HCM Integrations Consultant / Lead. The candidate in this position will lead the delivery of Workday Integrations in scope for North America. The Workday HCM Integrations Consultant will ensure that the Workday integrations requirements are delivered to agency requirements and WPP IT's vision, applying best practice delivery standards, providing a value-focused approach, and maintaining cost control through tools fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Design robust integration solutions connecting Workday with external systems. Develop integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and other integration tools.
• You will be responsible for ensuring the integration solutions you design meet WPP integration guidelines and requirements. 
• As part of your responsibilities, you will be involved in the end-to-end integration process. This includes capturing requirements for new integrations and designing and configuring for HCM delivery. 
• One of the fundamental skills for this role is a deep understanding of API concepts. You should be proficient in configuring APIs via the middle layer. 
• Collaborate with other workstream (Process, Functional, Data, Test, Deploy) leads to ensure Payroll integration and ADP processes are aligned to Workday.
• Build payroll test scenarios to ensure the new and changes to the existing integration are tested correctly before moving it into production.
• Coordinate directly with business users to best understand and analyse business specifications to implement, change and enhance integrations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration designs and processes.
• Resolve integration-related issues and provide timely support to internal and external stakeholders. Conduct testing to ensure data accuracy, error management, and performance optimisation.
• Stay updated with Workday releases to leverage new integration development features effectively.

To be Successful

• This job requires excellent knowledge of web service technologies such as REST, SOAP, JSON, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, etc. Proficiency in XML, XPath, and XSLT is also necessary. Having Workday integration development or support experience is a plus.
• Designing and configuring integrations via the middle layer, such as Mule Soft, Dell Boomi and Informatica, is critical.
• Previous experience in designing and configuring publishing and subscribing models to feed data to the downstream systems is essential. 
• As an applicant, you should have excellent business English skills and be able to articulate and document the design and configuration.
• Experience or knowledge of building integrations in Workday in HCM and FINS/PSA will be beneficial, although this role is for HCM only. You must be delivery and customer-focused, with high energy and drive.
• Being able to come up with creative solutions and having solid problem-solving skills is a must.
• Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience in the Workday ecosystem.
