The GroupM IT team in WPP IT are the technology solutions partner for the GroupM group of agencies and are accountable for co-ordinating and assuring end-to-end change delivery, managing the GroupM IT technology life-cycle and innovation pipeline.

What you'll be doing:

As a member of the WPP, IT - GroupM IT team: 

• Design, architect, develop, test, deploy and troubleshoot test infrastructure and test automation suites for our application
• Design, develop, and maintain automation systems and tools to be used by development and test engineers
• Build and improve software and tools by translating requirements and problems into robust, scalable, and supportable test solutions.
• Develop and execute software test plans to identify software problems and their causes
• Analyzing Business Requirements, assessing the quality of these to ensure they are Cohesive, Comprehensive, Concise, Clear and Correct, and assures the work of others to ensure conformance to standards.
• Work closely with team members on requirement analysis and reviews to ensure 100% test coverage
• Develop manual/automated test procedures for software features, database impacts, regression testing and negative testing
• Design and author test cases for unit, functional, performance, scalability, and durability testing
• Participate in various scrum meetings to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates or potential problems
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
• Defect and issue identification, logging, tracking, reporting and timely verification of resolved items
• Ensure testing commitments are met and clearly communicate potential impacts to schedule to the team
• Maintain test cases, test plans, and manage them with changing requirements
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team including Development, QA, Implementation, Documentation, Support and Sales
• Support the product through its full life cycle of design, code, test, and maintenance
• Assist in assessing product quality and release readiness

** Working hours: 1:30pm - 9:30pm (IST) - Aligned to UK business hours 

What you'll need:

• Education: completed university studies in Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable
• Personality andWorking Practice: team player, good communication skills, analytical thinking and structured
• Experience and Knowledge: 3 years of recent experience in the following areas:
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance best practices, with an understanding of what and when to automate
  • Expertise in QA testing methodology and best practices with proven knowledge the Quality Assurance discipline
  • Automating API tests. (Postman, Charles, any other rest-based testing tool)
  • Integrating test automation solutions into CI processes (Azure DevOps)
  • Strong commitment to quality, ability to work closely and communicate effectively with developers and managers
  • Willing to contribute to manual testing if the need arises
  • Hands-on experience and strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
  • Developing and executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures to support various development methodologies including waterfall and agile
  • Different types of testing that includes Black Box testing, Smoke testing, Functional testing, System Integration testing, End-to-End Testing, Regression testing & User Acceptance testing (UAT) & Involved in Load Testing, Performance Testing & Stress Testing
  • Media / advertising industry experience is a plus
• Languages: very good English skills - other languages are a plus
