WP Rawl is Hiring a Farm Equipment Technician Near Pelion, SC

WP Rawl is a grower, processor, and distributor of over 15 different varieties of fresh vegetables harvested year round and more than 50 different packaged value-added products. We are currently in search of a Farm Equipment Technician supporting our Truck Shop at our Pelion, SC facility. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, flexible team player.

Duties:

Diagnose and Repair WPR Farm Tractor and Equipment
PM SVC, Mig Welding
Repair WPR small trucks and vans, including transmission and engine replacement, brake diagnoses and repairs, electrical diagnoses and repairs.
Working from a Repair Order and basic computer skills is needed
Working on hydraulic systems and leaks, fuel injections, etc.
Ability to diagnose wet clutch system’s. (power reverser, power shuttle transmission’s) and perform necessary repairs.
Diesel engine diagnosis and repairs on, Perkins, Kubota, John Deere, Caterpillar, and Detroit engines.
Ability to read a wiring schematic to aid in electrical diagnosis and repairs
Ability to use a Volt Ohm meter

Qualifications:

Must have a valid SC driver’s license
High school diploma or GED required
ASE certification would be a plus but not required
3 years’ experience working with farm tractors and equipment
Possession of personal tools a plus

Work Conditions:

Exposure to loud noise
Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Requires standing, walking, stooping, and bending on a regular basis on concrete flooring
May sometimes work in cold or hot temperatures
