Our Design Team is seeking an Associate Designer

YOUR CORE FOCUS AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Support the Design Director in assisting with concepts and developing prints, colors, trims, waistbands, and other items that are consistent with the brand’s aesthetics and satisfy business needs.
  • Assist in preparing trend presentations, mood boards and market research.
  • Setup design presentation boards and update boards as changes occur.
  • Research the market (luxury, contemporary and vintage), periodicals/magazines, and online resources (runway, ecommerce, resale) to stay current with trends.
  • Play a key role in executing the initial development for each season by creating original artwork and layouts under the guidance of the Design Director.
  • Color and print research/sourcing.
  • Print design and development (assisting with recoloring, indexing, selecting scale, submissions, etc.)
  • Work cross-functionally with Senior Designer, Data Team, Merchandising, Fabric Technologist, QC Manager, and Production Coordinator.
  • Create and Update Collection and Campaign Decks.
  • Create all color/print-filled CAD sketches.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining Illustrator CAD bank (including technical drawings and colored images) for CAD sheets/merchandising.
  • Create and/or review/approve 3D renderings via Clo3D for all Limited Edition and Product releases.
  • Create and Update CAD Sheets, Ensuring 100% Accuracy.
  • Create and Update Merchandising/Line Plans.
  • Partner with relevant teams to create/merchandise Limited Edition packs per collection.
  • Own all aspects of daily follow-up with external and internal partners.
  • Work with Product team to source/develop/sample new techniques for Limited Edition Drops (Trims, Contrast Stitching, Waistband Concepts, Heat Seals, etc.)
  • Manage reviewing, advising corrections and/or approving lab dips, print and waistband strike-offs.
  • Partner with Design Director, and cross-functional partners in Product Development and Production to ensure on-track TNA, deadlines are met, and prevent/resolve production issues for current and upcoming seasons.
  • Maintain organized files/folders/structure and carry out processes for communicating information cross-functionally.
  • Create SOPs and resources for cross-functional access/collaboration.
  • Assist with packaging design and development.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel Design or Related Field.
  • 2-4 years experience
  • Experience in the Intimates and/or Contemporary/Luxury Markets Preferred.
  • A high taste level, and an understanding of the Woxer aesthetic.
  • Self-starter and creative thinker with the ability to interpret seasonal concepts.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, strong time management skills and ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in color-matching techniques and tools.
  • Skilled in color-matching and reviewing print S/O’s, with a proficiency in advising effective comments to suppliers.
  • Knowledge and ability to create print repeats as final artwork, edit, color separate, recolor and match color from the seasonal palette.
  • Understanding of apparel print processes and understanding of technology in the print industry.

MUST HAVE:

  • Portfolio Required to be Considered.
  • Highly Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Figma
  • Superior or Perfect Munsell Score
  • Proficient/Advanced in Clo3D
  • Knowledge of Color Systems; including, Pantone

NICE TO HAVE:

  • NED Graphics or other Print Software
  • ClickUp or other PLM Experience
