WOW Logistics is now hiring for an EHS Supervisor!

WOW Logistics is seeking a EHS Supervisor to assist with leading and maintaining EHS programs across multiple sites located in WI, ID, IL, MN, and WA. As the EHS Supervisor, you will be part of WOW’s mission to develop, enforce, and train safety related policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. In this role you will directly Supervise all MHE Trainers/Floaters. Travel up to 50% of the time may be required, though some of that travel is regional and would not require overnight stays. The EHS Supervisor will report directly to the Manager of EHS.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand, direct, develop and manage the safety culture for the company, including specific directives, preventative measures, and goals
  • Aid in the creation of safety KPI’s and data sets to proactively monitor safety trends and determine root causes
  • Aid in the development of standard operating procedures that will promote the company’s safety culture and provide guidance
  • Aid in the Automation of incident reporting procedures and safety tracking measures
  • Aid in the development of a system from measuring incidents and create a KPI for each facility and company
  • Aid in the creating of company safety metrics report at monthly operations meetings
  • Aid in the communication with upper management, including operations management team, effectively and timely with respect to safety related incidents or issues
  • Audit and inspect DC facilities to ensure EHS compliance on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Participate in the investigation of all accidents/injuries and in the preparation of necessary reports/documents
  • Ensure compliance with regulated policies and procedures (OSHA and EPA) on both the Federal and State levels
  • Co-Develop, execute, and present training programs for monthly safety meetings
  • Own and lead the MHE certification process and consistency/scheduling of trainers/training programs across all sites. All MHE Trainers will report directly to this role.
  • Provide feedback to the operations team on safety issues and process changes after every site visit, document and follow up on action items
  • Own the management and continued development of the Safety SME program for the network
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of written plans for OSHA required areas
  • Aid in maintaining OSHA logs
  • Work closely with human resources on worker’s compensation and return to work programs with target of EHS department taking over all worker’s compensation duties in the near future
  • Aid in the completion of regulatory reporting such as annual Tier II reports and OSHA log submittals
  • Participate in 3rd party audits
  • Performs additional duties as directed by Manager of EHS

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of safety related experience in an industrial setting is a plus
  • Ability to multitask/prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • OSHA 30 hour preferred or ability to complete upon hire
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with all levels of the company
  • Basic OSHA regulation knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effectively communicate with others with experience in conducting training sessions
  • Self-starter that has a positive attitude and wiliness to learn/be coached
  • Ability to frequently travel to sites across the WOW network
