WOW Logistics Oshkosh distribution center is now hiring for a 2nd shift Operations Supervisor!

The 2nd shift Supervisor in the Oshkosh distribution center will oversee DC employees. The Supervisor will oversee and delegate warehouse and distribution activities to meet established standards, while promoting and evaluating the development of department employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Train, coach, motivate, and mentor the work of DC employees to develop their attitude, work ethic, process, and skills.
  • Mentor Lead Warehouse Worker to direct and assign employees tasks.
  • Lead shift change meetings utilizing shift change form to relay important safety, process, and production related messages.
  • Create and conduct performance feedback through verbal coaching, work measurement feedback and PIP’s, incident analysis, and reviews with employees.
  • Facilitate or lead employee conflict investigations, implement resolution and documentation of these incidents.
  • Facilitate ongoing SOP review, refresher training and documentation.
  • Utilize continuous improvement techniques to track performance, implement change, measure results, and improve KPI’s.
  • Collect employee feedback and facilitate change based the information and solutions provided.
  • Utilize Labor Management System to track and provide employee productivity.
  • Possess and display a genuine positive attitude and work ethic.
  • Ensures and facilitates a safe and clean work environment in accordance with all OSHA and FDA (FSMA) regulations.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of DC operations in the absence of the DCM
  • Ensure compliance and advocate full support of established company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate receipt of inbound inventory, cycle counts, inventory transactions and outbound shipping functions.
  • Assist with employee retention efforts.
  • Facilitate distribution center maintenance, repairs and LOTO and where required.
  • Monitor and procure DC supplies to ensure they are available when needed.
  • When required, operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform distribution center audits.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Supervision or management experience preferably in a distribution center environment.
  • Ability to lead by example.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • PC skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with a large and dynamic labor pool working multiple shifts.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
  • Inventory control and cycle count experience a plus.
  • Ability to safely operate all Material Handling Equipment.
  • Proven leadership and employee development abilities.
  • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • Coaching and Development - Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday 2:00pm to 11:00pm
