Millwright Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation.
  • Form, pour, and finish equipment foundations or pads for equipment.
  • Construct and install equipment such as pumps, conveyors, chemical systems, by-pass pumping, and structural/miscellaneous metals.
  • Review and understand engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
  • Supervise construction workers, such as laborers, when using the equipment.
  • Work with a range of hand tools including measuring/leveling tools, rigging, welding, and brazing equipment.
  • Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.

Requirements:

Education/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Qualification.

Experience:

  • Millwright Experience: 4 years
  • In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
  • Completion of an accredited millwright certificate program.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment.
