Purpose of the Role

As a Subcontracts Administrator at Worley, you will be integral to the successful delivery of our projects. You will manage subcontracting activities from inception to closeout, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Your role will support our ambition of driving sustainable change and achieving our targets related to sustainability projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Subcontract Management: Oversee the entire subcontract lifecycle, including sourcing, qualification, negotiation, award, execution, change management, and closeout, ensuring all processes align with company standards and project requirements.

Supplier Selection: Collaborate with project teams to identify and evaluate potential subcontractors based on technical capabilities, pricing, delivery schedules, and other relevant criteria, ensuring the selection of the most qualified and capable suppliers.

Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with subcontractors, ensuring all agreements are aligned with project specifications and company policies.

Contract Award: Facilitate the awarding of contracts, utilizing the most current and applicable contractual documentation, and ensuring alignment with the scope of work.

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with subcontract agreements, addressing commercial, legal, and performance-related risks proactively.

Contract Compliance: Monitor subcontractors' compliance with contractual obligations, terms, and conditions, and address any deviations promptly to ensure adherence to agreements.

Change Management: Manage changes to subcontract agreements, assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget, and implement necessary adjustments to maintain project alignment.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date subcontract documentation, records, and correspondence in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, procurement teams, legal, and finance departments, to achieve project objectives and drive successful outcomes.

Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues, disputes, or conflicts that arise during the subcontract lifecycle efficiently and effectively.

Reporting:Generate regular and ad hoc reports on subcontracting activities, performance metrics, and compliance status for management review.

Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to enhance subcontracting processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILL SET

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or supply chain management within the energy, resources, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of contract terms, legal implications, and risk management principles.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
