Worley Careers is Hiring an Electrical Engineer Level I Near Norco, LA

Purpose:

  • Deliver electrical engineering services that meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • HSSE leadership, role model commitment to Technical Integrity and Process Safety.
  • Delivery of competitive projects in accordance with agreed premises – joint accountability across the entire Project Portfolio. This includes alignment with various requirements including the HSSE control framework, ORP (Opportunity Realization Process), project standards / guides and design standards (DEPs / DEMs).

Responsibilities: 

  • Support definition of all Electrical equipment engineering deliverables in all project phases and contribute to definition of other technical deliverables when required.
  • Delivery of the electrical equipment engineering deliverables and assurance per the controls identified in the project’s PCAP / DDP and the selected project standards / specifications.
  • Support technical assurance for electrical equipment engineering which includes assurance that the engineering deliverables are done correctly. This also includes ensuring that the final detailed design is done per the final project specifications.
  • Perform electrical engineering services such as:
    • Identify and report changes to project scope
    • Assist with the preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules
    • Provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities
    • Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions
    • Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer
    • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required
  • Execution of the technical assurance plan including the client's technical oversight of engineering firms and the management of change process (technical assurance). This also includes validation of engineering technical assurance processes and engineering deliverables.
  • Coordination of engineering issues within the project. An example could be alignment on project design standards and discussions on risk / deviations / derogations.
  • Engineering assurance during the construction phase - assurance that "equipment" was built / functions per design, validation of handover documentation, engineering assurance per the requirements in the statement of fitness and support asset handover with operations readiness to operate phase engineering organization.
  • Incorporation of engineering / project learnings from other projects.
  • Support with project engineering and the engineering disciplines to identify and utilize replication /standardization opportunities.

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:  

  • Sound technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
  • A working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of electrical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
  • A working knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
  • Competent use of electrical engineering specific software and relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Engineering experience in the same or similar industry.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: 

Required: 

  • A recognized Electrical Engineering degree or discipline equivalent
