bp is transforming its former oil refinery in Kwinana to an integrated energy hub, where it plans to produce biofuels and renewable hydrogen. Worley is proud to be providing engineering services to the bp Kwinana Renewable Fuels Project and to contribute to a more sustainable world for a new era of renewable fuels. The Kwinana Renewable Fuels Project is one of bp’s five biofuel projects across the globe as bp aim’s to produce around 100,000 barrels of biofuels per day by 2030. As a Document Controller II, you will be responsible for performing moderate to complex work assignments involving some independent judgment to determine a course of action consistent with established functional and organisational policies and goals.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Document Controller II to join our Perth team.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Assign document numbers, registration and distribution of Worley deliverables according to Distribution Matrices.
  • Coordinate and track inter-disciplinary and customer reviews.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Document Control processes and procedures. Quality Checking documents prior to issue.
  • Registration and distribution of Customer and Third Party deliverables. Good understanding of Supplier document processing. May assist Senior / Principal Document Controller with PO setup.
  • Accurate data entry and maintenance of a complete audit trail within EDMS.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to Senior and Principal Document Controllers within the Document Control function.
  • Effectively communicate, provide assistance and clarification to project team members, Document Control team members and Global Delivery Centre (GID).
  • Able to produce basic Design and Supplier reporting for the project team.
  • Provide feedback on internal Document Control procedures and work instructions to Senior / Principal Document Controller.

What you’ll have

  • High School graduate, or equivalent with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Advanced support position, performing assignments that are broad and complex in nature.
  • Decent years of experience on a large EPCM project or multiple projects in an Engineering office.
  • Excellent working knowledge of EDMS, Document Control processes and procedures in an engineering or project office environment and also document Control experience in an EPCM office or site environment.
  • Routinely makes decisions that involve independent judgment to determine a course of action which is consistent with established functional policies and goals covered only by general procedures; Supervision at this level is infrequent and is typically necessary only to understand departmental goals and work objectives. Able to supervise and/or train lesser seasoned individuals in daily work assignments and performance oversight.
  • Under limited supervision, plans and conducts and may supervise work of self and others. Has ability to lead project teams, business unit, or department.May participate in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Advanced understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field.Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues with systems, processes and tools.
  • Able to work and liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders, deal with strict deadlines, able to prioritise workloads and help other team members to achieve team goals.
  • Able to identify issues, problems, and opportunities; make timely decisions; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance when required.
  • Ability to deal with conflicting priorities in a busy working environment as well as work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams and share and transfer knowledge within teams.
  • Deliver quality services and demonstrate a commitment to understand and meet customer needs.
  • Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts, persuading and influencing through participation in the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations and reports.
  • Builds appropriate, constructive, and effective business relationships throughout the organization; uses diplomacy and tact; is approachable; communicates clearly, accurately, and consistently both verbally and in written matters.Employs the principles of active listening and encourages feedback from others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, and make presentations when required.
