Purpose:

The principal accountability of the role is to maintain and enhance the Standard Delivery for Construction, Completions, and Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) digital solutions in accordance industry best practices and company standards. 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing administration of project delivery systems/digital technologies/software to support business functional needs in the areas of:
    • Construction/AWP
    • Completions
    • Field Services
    • Commissioning
  • Project Administration including:
    • Installation, setup, configuration, communications, data extracts, etc.
    • Configuration of data integrations to other systems like 3D model, materials management system, document management system, project progressing/controls systems, and project scheduling system
    • Project-specific configurations of filters, reports, templates, system maintenance, etc. 
    • Development of automation enhancements and/or custom solutions within construction systems 
    • Development of Construction System Execution Plans and Specifications
    • Provision of training, support and assistance to construction projects and locations as requested and via Service Now for users’ day to day activities
  • Accountability to project Digital Execution Manager and/or Project Information Manager (PIM)
  • Capturing and supporting the functional needs of the project Construction Manager, AWP Manager, and or Completions Manager
  • Coordination with I&DD (IT) on software and hardware requirements
  • Coordination with global/regional construction digital leaders on best practices, lessons learned, & continuous improvement

Specific challenges associated with the role include: 

  • Driving adoption of standard tools and processes to deliver construction project objectives
  • Balancing the focus of day-to-day operational systems management with the requirement to foster future readiness and a climate for innovation
  • Driving the centralization of service delivery through driving a consolidated and automated delivery process 
  • Moving the organization towards a culture of digital execution and continuous improvement

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • A minimum seven (7) years of related experience in the EPC / EPCM industry, or equivalent field experience 
  • Advanced to expert competency as a System Administrator in Smart Completions, Construction Management O3, Bentley Synchro 4D, or equivalent
  • Significant experience with construction systems in a complex, major projects environment including multi-office workshare
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems (client-server operating systems, server configuration, software installation and configurations) 
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction & home-office and site planning requirements
  • Deep understanding of construction project requirements, deliverables, and workflows 
  • Experience working in virtual teams supporting a global community 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent training skills
  • Must have ability to build relationships with the customer, IT, and technical stakeholders
  • Ability to plan, organize and scale the high-quality delivery required within set timeline and deadlines
  • Ability to Identify and implement system architecture best practices and standards
  • Technical acumen required for system scalability, availability, and performance activities
  • Capable of technical deep dives into infrastructure, databases, and applications as needed, yet cognitively agile enough to have strategy discussions with leadership
  • Proficiency in a common CAD drafting or graphics tool (e.g. Aveva Draw, AutoCAD and MicroStation)
  • Must have minimum understanding of intelligent 3D modeling systems such as Aveva E3D and Smart3D
  • Must have minimum understanding of intelligent resource management systems such as Aveva ERM or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience developing data dashboards with Power BI or equivalent

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, from an accredited program
