Sr. Automation and Systems Administrator American Technology Services, Inc. (ATS) is a Managed Services Provider (MSP) looking for a Sr. Automation and Systems Administrator. The primary responsibility of the Senior Automation and Systems Administrator is to manage systems used for managed services operations in an MSP environment. This position will be working closely with our Operations, NOC, Architecture, Helpdesk and Client Services teams. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE •B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Physics, Engineering, or another relevant subject •5 years’ experience working in a similar role •Significant experience managing a RMM system for an MSP or environment of 1000 devices •Significant experience writing complex scripts for workstation/server configurations and software installations •Possess a strong understanding of Windows server and client OSes, macOS and Linux, IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and Azure •Possess an inherent awareness of security implications of any action or decision •Experience with EDR/XDR, DNS, web, and email security systems •Ability to determine the impact of security bulletins and advisories, translate them to actionable configuration changes for remediate or mitigate on systems using scripts and automation. •Proficient with MSSQL •Strong sense of high-quality user experience and collaborative working Requirements SKILLS •Excellent communication and presentation skills •Excellent organizational skills •Highly motivated and approachable, with a strong desire to push the boundaries of technology •Positive and clear communication skills working internally and with clients RESPONSIBILITIES •Develop and maintain advanced RMM and PowerShell scripts to apply policy and manage applications on client endpoints •Manage Microsoft and 3rd party application patching of all managed client endpoints using existing RMM solution •Manage monitoring and alerting for managed client systems •Contribute to development of internal and client facing reports •Generate on-demand custom reports for client audit and compliance needs •Establish QA and change management for RMM and other relevant systems •Develop and maintain technical documentation for internal tools and client specific processes •Contribute to automation and improvement efforts for internal workflows and integrations of internal systems •Provide escalation support when relevant to RMM and other relevant systems •Ability to work closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and communicate effectively and professionally is vital •Additional requirements may exist if offer of employment is extended PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS •On-call availability to the clients and ATS team. •Sitting for extended periods of time. •Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate and handle computers and components
