The classification of Ramp Services Supervisor includes managing, coordinating, and controlling airport activities for Ramp Services functions (as described below); monitoring the quantity and quality of work performance; directing personnel within the assigned functional area; overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; participating in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring, and termination of subordinates; training subordinates, ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations, Company standards and contractual agreements; ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements. This position may include responsibility for communication between Airport Board officials and individual customers with the Company. Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality, and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand, and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge. Ensures they administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors, and other third parties are treated with respect. The scope of the job may vary with the size of the operation and its primary line of business.

Ramp Service Functions:

Includes the following: loading and unloading of baggage and company material on and off aircraft; the transporting of baggage between terminals and aircraft; the receiving, delivering, and physical handling of company material, baggage in the outbound baggage room; the completion of forms and messages related to and necessary for the performance of the designated locations of the functions described. The cleaning and servicing of cabin interiors, including cockpit and lavatories; draining lavatories; checking, handling, assembling, removing, and installing passenger service cabin furnishings and supplies. Transporting such furnishings and supplies to and from aircraft. In addition pushout/tow aircraft and related guide man functions; connect/remove ground power and ground start units. May be assigned to perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment. May be assigned to assist in monitoring security of facility.
