As a Risk Manager for a global non-profit organization you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization's stability and sustainability by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing risk management policies and procedures to safeguard the organization's assets and resources.
- Conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats to the organization's financial health, such as market volatility, currency fluctuations, and geopolitical risks.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure that risk management practices are integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.
- Monitoring compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and best practices related to risk management.
- Developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address identified risks and minimize their impact on the organization.
- Providing regular reports and updates to senior management and the Board of Directors on the organization's risk profile and mitigation efforts.
- Staying informed about global economic trends, industry developments, and emerging risks that could affect the organization's stability.
- Conducting risk awareness training and education sessions for staff members to build a culture of risk awareness and responsibility.
- You will be responsible for taking the risk needs to the insurance markets, working with brokers, carriers, and third party administrators.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in insurance risk management, with experience working non-profit organization or a related field. A solid understanding of insurance markets, regulatory frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies is essential. Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills are also key requirements for this role. Experience with BTA and global markets preferred
