Position Summary:

The Director, Trip Support Sales, will provide on-going leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure the successful sale and retention of Business Aviation Trip support. They will also support the strategic goals of Business and General Aviation. The candidate should have outstanding management, communication, collaboration, people skills and be able to negotiate and handle difficult situations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with Executive and Senior Leadership teams to develop/review and implement new opportunities within Business Aviation Trip Support sales. These efforts will emphasize cost containment and high-quality customer care.
  • Contribute to executive decision making with recommendations and implementations as appropriate of sales solutions for short- and long-term strategies.
  • Analyze competitive conditions and share insights with Executive and Senior Leadership.
  • Provide leadership to sales team to ensure accounts are developing and generating revenue, while delivering value to customers.
  • Support the sales team in developing and executing strategies to manage client retention and cross sell products and services.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team through programs such as product training, sales procedures practice and individual coaching, to grow Trip Support sales most effectively.
  • Set goals for the sales team and ensure consistent reporting and targeted sales growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the Company to best support existing clients to ensure services and solutions are being developed and executed.
  • Personnel decisions including: hiring, corrective action and termination decisions, performance evaluations and monitoring, coaching and development, and training.
  • Assess employees and contribute to management succession planning.
  • Administer corporate policies and departments adherence to corporate regulations.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Assure that the behavior of departmental employees is consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
  • Any other duties and projects as assigned by the leadership teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Significant knowledge of the aviation industry and/or the Trip Support market
  • Ability to understand customer needs and identify tools for sales team members to meet those requests
  • Excellent human relations skills for customer and internal associate interaction
  • Understanding of financial measurements, analysis and metrics
  • Able to effectively implement change and processes improvements - identify problems and work with appropriate teams to execute solutions
  • Demonstrate highly effective communications, problem-solving skills and thought leadership in a highly professional manner.
  • Able to function, motivate and lead effectively in a team environment
  • An open minded communicator that is accountable, team oriented, and a hands-on leader

Experience:

  • 10 years of related experience in Business Aviation Trip Support industry
  • 5 years Trip Support sales experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS, BA, etc.) or equivalent PREFFERED

Specific Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Knowledge of WFS Trip Support processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of WFS Trip Support related technology
  • Basic understanding of Tableau and Salesforce

Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent travel on short notice; travel is an integral part of successful job performance; may be required to travel to remote or hazardous locations.
