The World Equestrian Center is searching for a Director of Sports to join our team! The Director of Sports is primarily responsible for the design and implementation of sports initiatives, and programs for the successful achievement of the property goals. Will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our sports programs, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering exceptional experiences for participant and guests.

Position type and expected hours of work—full time or part time, typical work hours and shifts, days of week, and whether overtime is expected.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sports programming strategies.
• Identify and secure sports programming opportunities, including live events, interviews, and expert analysis.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the sports industry, including teams, athletes, and sponsors.
• Create and manage budgets for sports programming.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including copyright laws.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest sports news and trends.
• Work with other departments within the internal marketing organization to ensure seamless delivery of sports content.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Previous hospitality/service industry or similar field supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to recognize and implement safety standards in all program activities.
• Strong Human Relations and Conflict Management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate and manage information to program participants, community leaders, volunteers, and staff.
