World Equestrian Center Ocala is Hiring a Bell/Valet Supervisor Near Ocala, FL

World Equestrian Center - Ocala is seeking a Bell/Valet Supervisor to join our team! 

The Bell/Valet Supervisor manages the bell staff by assigning duties and supervising their day-to-day work. This includes calling bell staff to the front desk for service and overseeing the way they conduct guest services, from transporting luggage to answering guest questions and fulfilling requests. The captain trains new staff in all aspects of bell service including valet operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all Bellmen to ensure/help with completion of daily tasks
  • Greet and escort guests to rooms
  • Train and assist Bell Staff in greeting members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, concentrating on member/guest recognition
  • Train the Bell Staff in proper “rooming techniques” ensuring that proper and accurate information is conveyed to each arriving member or guest
  • Be familiar with and ensure that the Bell Staff has all daily information including:
  • Review valet operations procedures with staff
  • Daily inventory of golf carts
  • VIP arrivals and departures
  • Daily functions/events
  • Information pertaining to Food and Beverage outlets
  • Amenities and hours of operation
  • Attend necessary meetings as required
  • Assist the Guest Services Manager with a weekly Bell Staff schedule
  • Assist members and guests in the business center
  • Organize and assist with the delivery of guest room amenities and supplies as needed
  • Ensure that professional and efficient transportation services are provided to members and guests and that the Resort's vehicles are always clean, detailed and representative of the Resort
  • Ensure that the Bell Staff is completing all daily checklists and that all requests are completed and followed upon
  • Be familiar with all department heads and managers. Know their names, job titles, telephone extensions, office locations
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures and be prepared to handle emergency situations
  • Sets an example of hard work and good service by performing all bell duties when needed
  • This means helping guests in and out of their vehicles, carrying guests' luggage to and from their rooms, explaining the room's features, assisting physically challenged guests, answering questions, fulfilling requests, running errands, delivering messages, offering advice on local restaurants and attractions, and obtaining tickets to events

  • Associate may have to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Associate must talk and hear.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Three to four (3-4) years of as a Luggage Attendant and/or Bell Person within the hotel industry experience or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years customer service experience in a previous position, where the primary job duty is direct customer service is required.
  • Must have the proven ability to provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Must be able to get along with colleagues and work as a team.
  • Poses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
