As our Swing Shift Facility Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable environment for employees and guests. You are directly responsible for managing agents on swing shift and ensuring that they have appropriate knowledge and tools through training and mentoring. You are also responsible for providing protection for the campus, employees, and property through patrolling and active monitoring of alarm systems, CCTV, and access control systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
* Certification with the current Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, DPSST.
* Skills to lead a team and provide mentorship and support to staff
* Aptitude to assess the needs of the team on a regular basis
* Communicate to Security leadership team for safety conditions, needs of the team, and escalation of issues
* Skills to perform in high-stress and fast-paced environment in an expedient manner for sustained periods, may perform tasks in front of the public.
PREFERENCES:
* Previous supervisory experience in a security setting
JOB DUTIES:
* Training, motivating, and managing Facility Security team members on duty.
* Performing regular check-ins with staff and conducting applicable performance evaluations
* Assisting with hiring and onboarding of Security Agents
* Coordinating with the Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire Bureau incident response
* Managing incidents, including detaining and/or apprehending persons who violate local, state, and federal laws.
* Operating and maintaining security and life safety systems
* Auditing the PIPE patrol system
* Ensuring accurate completion of Workers' Compensation (801) packets and assisting with reasonable suspicion of employee incidents
* Identifying and reporting safety issues and vital maintenance or repairs
* Coordinating accurate setup and breakdown and daily maintenance of Magnetometers.
* Patrolling assigned facilities on foot, bike, or security vehicles
* Ensuring appropriate incident documentation
* Effectively raising emergency situations
* Providing information and assistance to guests on campus. Supporting Security Agents as a critical issue resource
* Coordinating lost & found operations.
* Overseeing shipping & receiving operations
* Committed to developing a diverse and inclusive environment.
* Maintain and submit payroll records for direct reports.
* Fill out and distribute daily logs for the shift.
HOURS:
* Full-time security agents work 4 (10-hour) shifts a week, hours for these roles are Swing Shift (2 PM - 12 AM)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Walk, move, and bend freely due to the emergency nature of the position
* Patrol regularly and walk throughout the campus
