Principle Responsibilities
Responsible for supervision of direct labor. Directs daily progress of the job by ensuring adequate staffing, sufficient supplies and materials,
timely deliveries of materials and maintaining all necessary paperwork required. Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction based
on established starting and completion times. Recommends personnel for hiring, promotion, and termination. Ensures that facilities and tooling
is available and in operating condition.
Standard Duties
Supervision of employees. Plan and assign jobs to employees. Ensure adequate staffing to meet backlog requirements. Confer with Project
Engineer in the planning and execution of work procedures, interpreting specifications and resolving problems. Document problems and
discrepancies encountered during work performance. Participate in scope reviews of the various completed work orders to coordinate their
respective interfaces and ensure that all materials, supplies and assemblies are purchased. Assist the Project Engineer in identifying work-
sequence considerations. Generate and confirm all information needed by the Project Engineer to create, monitor and modify the progress
schedule. Coordinate with the Purchasing Department to ensure that all supplies, materials and deliveries are processed for a timely delivery to
the jobsite. Prepare material requests to procure necessary materials, supplies, and tooling. Prepare logs, daily reports and other documentation
as required. Approve time cards.
Requirements
High School degree and 3 years of experience in welding, machining, tube and pipe fabricating, painting, assembling of structures, precision
cleaning, or maintaining heavy equipment.
Capabilities
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, manuals, and work instructions. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to
supervise personnel. Good organizational and problem solving skills.
Physical Requirements
Bending, stooping, climbing, lifting up to 25 pounds
