What's the role?

Audit / Assurance Managers are a key part of the accounting team at our partner firms responsible for managing client relationships while auditing their financial records for compliance to generally accepted accounting rules and standards. This includes:

  • Analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting and auditing issues and performing research to present proposed solutions.
  • Training, mentoring and managing team members in audit processes.
  • Building new and strengthening existing client relationships; demonstrating basic knowledge of clients' businesses.
  • Communicating and meeting with clients as requested; providing recommendations to assist clients with financial or tax needs.

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

Here are some skills we'd love to see on your resume:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting highly desired or equivalent work experience.
  • Accounting or auditing experience within a public accounting firm.
  • Comfortable working daily in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as audit/tax software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills to analyze data and records to produce recommendations or troubleshoot for clients during audits.
  • Oral and written communication skills to support building client relationships.
  • CPA certification desired but not required.

What will my schedule look like?

Being in the public accounting industry, schedules reflect the busy season of the tax industry January through May and the rest of the year they embrace a quieter offseason. Generally, you can flex the typical Monday-Friday 8a-5p schedule around any personal passions or family time as long as business needs are being met.
