WorkCare Inc. is Hiring a RN/LPN/EMT Near Lewiston, ID

Full Time Occupational Health Nurse or EMTWe are looking for a full-time Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or EMT to support our client site in Lewiston, ID.
We have multiple shifts open.
This position will be responsible for providing first aid and medical care to clinic employees as requested/needed, and within the EMT scope of practice, following treatment care guidelines set forth by the occupational health director and client policy / procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site treatment / management of injuries and minimize the need for off-site medical treatment.
  • Give on-site care, first aid and follow up to occupationally injured/ill workers.
  • Manage open workers comp and short-term disability cases as needed.
  • Maintain a medical record database and provide reports to management as applicable.
  • Maintain OSHA records as applicable.
  • May perform medical testing including but limited to: TB tests, blood draws, immunizations, drug screening, vision tests, hearing tests, respirator fit tests and medical evaluations.
  • May perform First Aid, CPR, AED and other training as necessary.
  • Maintain clinic supplies for treatment and preventative measures in the workplace.
  • Provide preventative health education as needed.
EMT Duties
  • Perform health screenings at client site.
  • Provide onsite first aid treatment.
  • Respond to all facility emergencies.
  • Become familiar with the plant, especially aware of areas in the plant most likely to require a hazardous material response.
  • Active participation in the emergency response team activities, drills and training.
  • Inventories supplies in the designated space (clinic).
  • Provide first aid and medical care to clinic patients as requested/needed, and within the EMT scope of practice, following treatment care guidelines set forth by the occupational health director.
  • Provide education to employees as needed within scope of practice.
  • Participate in general flow of clinic operations (answers phones, checks mail, medical records, filing, copying charts, traffic control).
Education And Experience
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid RN or LPN license in the state of Idaho or certified Paramedic or EMT in the state of Idaho.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred.
  • Must hold current BLS certification.
  • 3–5 years experience required.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in an urgent care, emergency department or occupational health setting preferred.
  • Certification in Occupational Health preferred.
