WorkCare Inc. is Hiring an Occupational Health RN - Per Diem Near Berwick, ME
Responsibilities:
- Provides medical care to clinic patients as requested/needed, and within the RN scope of practice, following treatment care guidelines set forth by the occupational health director.
- Employee encounters, occupational injury/illness case management, maintain compliance with medical surveillance programs, etc.
- Assist providers on Injury & Illness management.
- Assist providers in managing, coordinating, documentation of Workers Comp claims & communicates with Client’s WC claims carrier as needed.
- Maintain Electronic Medical Record (EMR- Cority) and ensures complete & accurate documentation.
- Performs regulatory testing including but not limited to: Respiratory medical evaluation, spirometry, audiometry, vision tests, urine test, EKG, immunizations, blood draws.
- May perform First Aid, CPR, AED, and other training as necessary.
- Provides preventive health education to employees as needed within scope of practice.
- Maintains clinic utilization reports.
- Participates in general flow of clinic operations. (answers phones, checks email, medical records, scheduling, filing, copying charts, traffic control).
- Maintain clinic’s medical & office supplies in collaboration with ancillary staff.
- Maintains communication with the Clinic Medical Director, Account manager, Team Lead & client as necessary
- Ensures that employees have appropriate return-to-work clearances.
- Coordinates employee exams &medical surveillance.
- Other duties as assigned or those duties that may be required as management deems necessary.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid Maine RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred.
- Must hold current BLS certification.
- 3–5 years RN experience required.
- 2-3 years’ experience in an urgent care, emergency department or occupational health setting preferred.
- Certification in Occupational Health preferred.
