WorkCare Inc. is Hiring a Business Operations Manager (FT) Near Anaheim, CA

Position Overview:
  • The Business Operations Manager is a client facing position responsible for all day-to-day activities and operations of the Leave Administration team assigned to a specific client account.
  • They are responsible for the effective and successful management of the Leave Administration Supervisors and their respective teams.
  • This includes but is not limited to workforce management, productivity, quality control, and safety measures to effectively meet our department and client business needs. 
  • Telecommuting/Remote work is offered for this role but the candidate MUST be able to work from our Anaheim corporate office and travel to other locations up to 20% of the time.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for oversight and implementation of company policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Oversee and monitor team performance against operational goals and reporting
  • Develop, enhance and improve cross-functional relationships and processes with other managers and teams to ensure cohesion across the department to best meet our client needs
  • Provide supervision to assigned Leave Administration Staff
    • Effectively supervise, motivate and coordinate day-to-day teamwork activities
    • Provide performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis to each team member
    • Write and administer performance reviews for individual and team skill improvement
    • Ensure employees have appropriate training and other resources to effectively perform their jobs
    • Address disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy in partnership with HR. Prepare warnings and communicate effectively with employees on warnings and make effective/appropriate decisions relative to corrective action as required
    • Responsible for hiring and selection of staff
  • Develop strategies that would improve workflow, ensure maximum productivity and boost profitability
  • Meet deadlines and company goals
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly or annual reporting as needed
  • Performs additional duties and assumes additional responsibilities as identified for the efficient operation of WorkCare
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; or 2 - 4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience managing a team is required
  • Experience in absence/leave management strongly preferred
Skills and Competencies 
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality; critical thinking skills; make independent decisions in accordance with company policy and procedures; and take initiative on issues that arise daily
  • Ability to coach, motivate and lead in effectively managing and developing a high-performing team, including oversight for individual and team performance
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and allocate day to day staff work activities
  • Demonstrate civility - employee shall work well under pressure meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, management, and clients
  • The ability to create and edit written materials; ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences; the skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities; the ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management, organizational, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
Computer Skills 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed
Physical Demands 
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk
  • Some bending and stretching could be required
  • Working under stress and use of computer/phone required
  • Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard
  • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
Work Environment 
  • Mainly indoor, office environment conditions
  • The noise level is usually moderate
  • Air quality is good and temperature is controlled
  • Work Environment must be free from background noise and distraction, noise level is acceptable, temperature is controlled. At home set up must meet all Company IT, privacy, and safety requirements
Job Details:
  • The salary range for this position is $75,298-$100,415 per year.
  • Compensation offered within that salary range will depend on such factors as job-related knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
