Trailer Service Mechanic $ 18 Hour Spartanburg , SC Monday Friday 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM $18.00 Hr. Pay is dependent upon experience.

This is a Temp-To-Hire Position Description : Career as a Trailer Mechanic for a large over-the-road Semi-Trailer dealer with parts & service centers that has been doing business for over 20 years.

• Repair wheel ends including Wheel seals, tires, cam shafts, slack adjusters, brakes, etc.
• Experience with Brake Systems and Trailer Suspensions
• Understanding of 12VDC Electrical
• MIG Welding
• Replace tires.
• Familiar with power tools.
• Perform electrical work such as : Marker lights, wiring & troubleshooting, etc.
• Assemble landing legs & braces.
• Maintain suspension.
• Adjustable / nonadjustable radius rods, spring hangers / equalizers, misc brackets
• Replace / Repair air valves, brake chambers, air lines / hoses, troubleshooting ABS systems.
• Perform MIG structural welding, cutting, inserting, etc.
• Structural, suspension, body work, brakes, tarp systems, and wreck repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain a high level of productivity.
• Perform vehicle preventative maintenance as outlined.
• Check and change tires as needed.
• Maintains records and appropriate documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or other members of the management team.

• Must maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized.
• Lifting Ability up to 70lbs.
