Job Description Food Service Worker - FT Days - 7451-2757 Description

Performs a variety of preparation, distribution, and sanitation functions in support of assigned areas.

Assists with preparing food and beverages for distribution to patients, guests, service / dining areas, and catering services.

Stores food, beverages, and supplies in designated containers and areas according to policies andprocedures.

Assists with customer-facing duties as assigned, including tray delivery and catering special events.

Assists with sanitation duties, including dishwashing and maintaining work and food service areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent X Preferred ? Required

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Must maintain current food handlers certificate.Must be able to adhere to all departmental, county, state and Joint Commission standards / regulations regarding food service.

Must have prior hospital / institutional dietary experience.Must have knowledge of various diets prepared in hospital environment (i.

e. diabetic, cardiac, etc.)

Must maintain current Food Handlers Certificate
