Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Laser and Inkjet Operators for our Downers Grove client.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift - 5:00am - 1:30pm

Job Description:

The Print Operator is involved in all aspects of the print and production process, coordinating, and printing projects, communicating with Client Services, Sales, and Technical Staff to ensure documents meet established standards and deadlines, maintaining professional relationships with vendors, and setting up and producing single or multiple copies of variable data using high speed laser and/or inkjet printers.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prepare projects for printing
• Communicate with Client Services, Sales, and IT Staff to ensure documents meet established standards, curriculum and deadlines
• Set up and produce single or multiple copies of variable data using high speed laser and inkjet printers following all checks in place
• Properly stage and acclimate paper rolls including changing rolls as needed
• Reprint damaged documents on a daily basis
• Perform operator preventive maintenance on task printing presses which includes but not limited to cleaning rollers, print heads, filters, dusting etc.
• Operate inline folder, bundle and stack inserts into trays or boxes
• Maintain professional relationships with vendors
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized environment which may including wiping and sweeping
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Ability to handle task switching and multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to process, comprehend and follow detailed written, oral, or diagram form instructions
• Outstanding attention to detail and ability to inspect files for problem areas, including fonts and image resolution such as defects.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and to frequently lift and move heavy materials (about 45 pounds)
• Ability to push heavy items via the use of Pallet jack or dolly.
• Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and work independently
• Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office skills required (other digital skills a plus including equipment knowledge, supporting software, Adobe Acrobat, email and internet)
• Desktop/print/copy experience preferred
• Continuous roll feed experience and knowledge in DFE’s like Fiery, Prisma and Total Flow a plus
• Knowledge of USPS postal regulations a plus

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to perform following physical activities:

• Required to reach with hands and arms
• Required to stand and walk
• Required to lift up to 45lbs
• Be able to move paper rolls weighing around 1000lbs with the use of mechanical tools and jacks
