Worcester County Developmental Center is Hiring a Residential Program Manager Near Newark, MD

Description

The Worcester County Developmental Center (WCDC) is looking for a Residential Program Manager to join our fast-paced, client driven team. The Residential Program Manager will work collaboratively with the residential team to empower the residential individuals to lead rich and meaningful lives.

Salary: $52,582.40 annually

Hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and On - Call rotation (once every 3 weeks)

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as liaison between WCDC and other agencies, families, etc., fostering a positive and professional working relationship.
  • Coordinate meetings for the individuals and ensure each person has all the services required to meet his/her needs.
  • Provide ongoing support, assessments and evaluations of each individual’s care and personal centered plan.
  • Collect and review data related to the individual’s care and progress toward meeting goals and disseminate the information to involved parties.
  • Collaborate with residential team in the planning, decision making, facilitation of processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Be available to staff members, providing regular support and feedback to develop skills in providing encourage excellent client care and personal growth.
  • Display a willingness to make decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgement.
  • Participate in the interviewing, hiring and training process for new staff members.
  • Provide weeknight and weekend on-call support to staff members on a rotating basis.
  • May be required to work a shift in the absence of the direct support staff (DSP) and provide direct care to clients with developmental disabilities.
  • Provide supervision to DSP staff in a residential home setting. 
  • Responsible for assigning staff to work sites based on their current training and competencies. 
  • Performs other related duties.

Physical Demands/Work Experience: Must be able to stand and walk 90% of work time, sit and/or drive 10%. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull 60 pounds, must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and reach. All of the requirements are necessary to properly supervise and assist individuals with disabilities. Should be able to climb stairs/ladder and have good balance. Vision is required to drive.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Services or related field.

Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years experience in human services or related field required.
  • At least 2-3 years of management experience preferred
  • At least 1-2 years of case management experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred.
  • Proven experience with team collaboration and employee engagement and leadership preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Detail oriented, organized and results driven.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to multitask and remain flexible as your day may quickly and without warning shift in an unexpected direction.
