RN Director of Wellness leads and supervises the nursing department including LPNs and CNA caregiver staff under the direction of the Administrator. This role will ensure all shifts and schedules are effectively and adequately staffed. Strong Microsoft Office skills along with a customer service approach toward staff and department managers. This position requires on-call bi-weekly rotation alongside the Assistant Director of Wellness.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in the development of and implementation of the philosophy, objective and policies and procedures of the Nursing Department
• Utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Completes monthly/quarterly assessments and documenting in the resident general service plan.
• Perform focused interviews to identify specific patient needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
• Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses
• On call 24/7.
• Ensures standards of Resident Care
• Assumes responsibility for the facility in the absence of the Administrator.
• Plans and monitors staffing patterns.
• Promotes a climate of mutual cooperation.
• Promotes the concept of resident and family centered care.
• Confers with physicians to affect quality resident care.
• Ensures that the nursing portion of the Resident care plans, discharge summary and discharge plan are completed in the medical record.
• Fosters an environment for a working relationship conducive to employee job satisfaction.
• Providing an environment for educational opportunities.
• Supervising all levels of the nursing department.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Professional RN license in the State of New Jersey.
• At least four years progressive nursing experience in management.
• Practical experience in program planning is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
