Job Title: Delivery Driver

Description: To safely drive products to and from residential and commercial business’s and residence, and occasionally other destinations, in a safe and effective manner while adhering to time schedules and traffic laws.

Reports To: Store Manager

Responsibilities:

To greet all customers, respond to customer questions/requests and explain store policies in a courteous manner while not driving
To assure the safety of self, customers and co-workers by understanding and practicing store safety rules and notifying a supervisor of any potential hazard immediately. Pick up/remove all broken containers, packing materials/boxes from the sales floor or product preparation area immediately.
To perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, substituting for absent workers and performing any additional tasks necessary to provide products and services to customers during peak periods of business.
Operate the vehicle safely and follow all traffic laws at all times.
Effectively deliver product to and from the store to residence’s and/or businesses.

Qualifications:

Required:

Class E Driver’s License
Able to give/receive complex verbal instructions/descriptions to/from supervisors/co-workers/employees concerning store/department policy/procedures and use of equipment.
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Able to provide a clean driving record.
Basic reading and writing ability; able to read instructions, merchandise labels, warehouse order codes, numbers, reports, printed paper and forms.
Good interpersonal communications.

Preferred:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

Inside and outside work with extreme variations in heat/cold/dust/ humidity.

Task of the Job-

Mobility:
- Driving product company vehicle to and from designated businesses or residences.
Work on tile or concrete for a maximum of 8 hours in duration, if assuming other duties while not driving.
Respond to customer, coworker, vendor, and driver questions and responses.
Use the intercom/phone system.
To perform other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the store manager.
