Job Title: Assistant Center Store Manager
Description: Position is responsible for implementation of center store strategies and promotional programs.
Reports To: Center Store Manager
Responsibilities:
Function as a subject matter expert for the center store departments
Oversee resets for center store departments
Implement and manage corporate goals and programs
Ability to verbally communicate to store staff expectations for the center store departments
Ensure center store departments are exceeding model store standards
Teaching and managing stores to expectations of center store standards, policies, and procedures
Communication
Good listening skills
Strong verbal and written skills
Ability to present ideas in a group or one on one setting and accept constructive feedback
Understand department operations and have the ability to break down the business in a way that makes programs easy to execute and understand
Technical skills
Strong team player who must thrive in a collaborative environment (cross functional thought process)
Product knowledge and experience-previous center store department management experience is very desirable
Entrepreneurial thinker that works within a corporate environment
Learn and understand all company software systems
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Other tasks as assigned
Task of the Job:
Work strategically with Center Store Manager to manage department processes that will result in sales growth through the customer experience with exceptional execution.
Creating standards of excellence resulting in shrink management
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in both a supermarket and an office setting.
Qualifications:
Required
Proven working experience in Center Store Departments
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong listening, presentation and decision making skills
Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers
