Woods Machinery is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a Mobile Equipment Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of the machinery brands we represent and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, extensive knowledge of heavy equipment diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to job sites or client locations to provide on-site repairs and services.
• Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a variety of equipment supported by the company including but not limited to: Track Loaders, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Chippers, Stump Grinders, Hydroseeders and Commercial Mowers.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and filter replacements to ensure the ongoing reliability of equipment.
• Conduct thorough equipment inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repairs of mechanical, diesel, hydraulic/hydrostatic, fuel and electrical issues.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise as a Mobile Equipment Mechanic, with a proven track record in preventative and routine maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with computers and interpreting schematics and technical manuals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
• Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.
• Certificates from prior technical training, with emphasis on diesel engines, hydraulic/hydrostatic systems, fuel systems, and electrical components is preferred.
• Must possess standard tools for equipment repairs.
• Attention to detail, organizational proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
• Capable of working in both indoor and outdoor settings, exposed to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain, along with potential elements like dust, dirt, and noise.
• Work overtime as business needs arise.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.
• Pass background and drug screening.
