Accounts Receivable Specialist

Woods Comfort Systems is seeking a talented and hard-working Accounts Receivable Specialist who offers comprehensive assistance to the entire accounting department.

This is a full-time position consisting of 40 hours a week, Mon - Fri.

Pay : Starting at $18.00 / hr based on experience

Job Summary : The A / R Specialist performs a variety of skilled accounting and bookkeeping duties, while maintaining accounts receivable records.

Maintains detail of accounts, posts and reconciles payments, creates and posts credit memos and prepares related financial reports.

Serves as Customer Master and provides clerical support to the Accounting department.

Essential Functions :

• Process client payments, miscellaneous cash receipts, and accounts receivable adjustments
• Produce accounts receivable aging reports
• Accurately process write-off entries and maintain reporting
• Bank reconciliations and outstanding item review
• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
• Contribute to month-end financial close and reporting, including workbook preparation
• Support project accountants, assisting with inquiries and monthly billing
• Understand and apply fundamental accounting and finance concepts
• Support department initiatives and recommend improvements
