GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Drive bus, transport international staff, regular staff, and guests safely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Drive bus, transport international staff safely.
    • Keep bus clean.
    • Check bus.
    • Help people on and off bus as needed, including operating equipment for ADA accommodations.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic math skills. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: The employee is required to have a CDL license with a passenger endorsements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to; sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. They are sometimes required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. It is also required that the employee be able to lift or exert force more than 50 pounds.

The following vision requirements are helpful for this position; distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), and peripheral vision ( ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
