Woodlands Memory Care of Lewiston is Hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Near Lewiston, ME

Woodlands Memory Care of Lewiston is a specialized memory care community located in Lewiston, Maine. We are part of Woodlands Senior Living, a Maine-based company known for excellence in senior care since the 1990s. Our purpose and promise is to provide superior, individualized care to seniors including those with Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments.

Under the supervision of the community RN, the primary purpose of your job will be to ensure that resident health and personal care services for residents are consistent with standards of practice, regulations, policies, and each resident’s service plan.

This is a full-time position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12pm-8pm.

Essential Functions

  • Administers medications and assists the care team with providing ADL care to residents, as needed
  • Serves as the 2nd shift Team Leader
  • Performs resident screenings, as assigned
  • Works to strengthen the medication administration process for the community
  • Monitors caregiver documentation and communicate with practitioners’ offices as needed
  • Makes recommendations and assists RN with staff training
  • Reviews and makes any necessary remedial corrections to resident’s medical records
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the RN

Requirements

  • Currently licensed in Maine as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Experience in long term or residential care is a plus!
  • A current, valid license to operate a vehicle in the state of Maine and a driving record satisfactory to the company may be required.
