We are seeking a Director of Nursing at our HamptonWoods Nursing Center to oversee staff and provide nurses with support and guidance. The ideal candidate will have experience in general geriatrics, as well as management training. This is an excellent opportunity to play a major role in ensuring the safety, comfort and quality of life for the elderly patients. We are looking for candidates who are compassionate, engaging and dedicated to providing the highest level of nursing care possible.

Responsibilities:

• Possess a strong commitment to the field of geriatrics.
• Evaluate on a continuous basis, the physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being of residents.
• Be knowledgeable about the health risks and health care issues associated with aging.
• Provide or coordinate primary nursing care in a variety of settings.
• Manage nursing personnel and resources in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Use effective communication skills to interact with residents, their families, and other health care professionals.
• Provide leadership to promote unit safety and ensure quality resident care.
• Providing exceptional customer service to residents, their families, and staff.
