The Director of Nursing plans, coordinates, manages and directs the Nursing Department at Belmont Pines Hospital. The Director provides leadership that results in the efficient, productive, and cost effective patient care. The Director ensures that the development, implementation and evaluation of nursing policies and procedures are in compliance with all JC, federal, state and local regulations. The Director serves as the facility infection control coordinator and is responsible for the compliance of the facility infection control program. The Director maintains a productive, professional relationship with the medical staff, management team and all other departments. The Director performs other duties as assigned. The Director of Nursing reports to the Hospital CEO.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors’ Degree in Nursing from an accredited school is required. Masters Degree in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Administration is preferred.
Licensure: Registered Nurse with current Ohio license.
Experience: Four years of nursing experience in a outpatient/inpatient psychiatric setting. Previous experience with the child and adolescent population is required. Previous management experience in nursing supervision/administration is required. The ability to organize tasks related to the accomplishment of hospital goals and objectives. Ability to work in a professional manner with physicians, mental health professional, referral sources, and support staff.
Additional Requirements: Ability to work with child and adolescent populations as demonstrated through educational accomplishment or work experience. A working knowledge of JC, ODMH, and patient rights standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities relating to direct patient care. Successful completion of CPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). May be required to flexible hours.
