Urgent Care Mental Health Practitioner

We are looking for an energetic and forward-thinking Mental Health Practitioner to work in our new mental health urgent care unit. This position assists children, adolescents, and adults who are in a crisis through assessment, interventions, and safety planning. Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30 pm and 10 am - 6:30 pm. Fridays 8:00am - 4:30 pm

Job Duties:

• Complete crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services both in person and via telehealth. .
• Complete crisis screenings and triage by phone and in person.
• Teach mental health skills to individuals and families.
• Work closely with community providers, referral sources, and other responders while coordinating follow up care and services.

Requirements:

• Must meet the requirements of a Mental Health Practitioner as defined by DHS.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a DHS background study.
• Use of electronic health record.
