The Safety and Environmental Coordinator is responsible for creating, with Management assistance, a culture of safety within the plant. The Coordinator is responsible for assisting in development and implementation of safety and environmental policies and procedures onsite as well as working with the division safety team (comprised of the Division Environmental and Safety Manager, and plant site safety and environmental coordinators across the millwork division) to develop and maintain a consistent safety driven culture. This position will lead efforts in data collection and analytics for both safety and environmental purposes. The role will work in partnership with leaders to implement best practices and monitor compliance with environmental and safety requirements . The Safety and Environmental Coordinator shall monitor and advise the facility staff on safety and environmental compliance issues. Such issues include but not limited to following: safety regulation compliance, hazardous materials management, hazardous waste management, storm-water management, waste water management; spill prevention planning (SPPC), sampling, air emissions regulations. |
