Woodcliff Hotel Spa is Hiring a Front Desk Receptionist Near Fairport, NY

You’ll act as the first point of contact for the business, answer phone calls, schedule meetings, make travel arrangements, handle mail and deliveries, and help us with other operational duties to keep everything running smoothly. $16 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Give every employee, client, and visitor a warm welcome at the front desk and communicate any important information or directions
  • Arrange appointments for employees and keep the calendar up-to-date
  • Plan for company trips and outings and provide itineraries to ensure off-site activities are a success
  • Assure incoming and outgoing mail is managed appropriately and handle deliveries
  • Assist with other administrative tasks, such as data entry, copying, filing etc.

As Spa Coordinator, you will:

  • Make a First Impression - the person in this role must have a genuine passion to deliver a great hospitality experience - whether in person or by phone. You must want to Wow the guest with your welcoming personality and also be able to explain the benefits and pricing for all spa offerings.
  • Make a Lasting Impression - while checking the guest out, inquire about their treatment/service and let them know you really care so if they had a problem or complaint, they share it with you. Be courteous and willing to listen!
  • Enjoy Problem-Solving - many guests need help with miscellaneous things - a changed appointment, a possibly different service, a last-minute appointment. You should never be too busy to help.
  • Be Accountable - you will be collecting money, routing calls, taking messages, and meeting many other guest needs. You need to be accurate and efficient in your processes.
  • Be a Safety & Security Agent - follow your hotel's established safety and security policies & procedures. Anticipate problems and call management as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Exhibits working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
  • Well-versed in taking telephone calls and handling stressful situations
  • 1 year of experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, guest service specialist, or similar position preferred
  • High school graduate, G.E.D. recipient, or equivalent
  • Possesses strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and time management skills
  • This role requires good verbal and written English communication skills as well as computer skills.
  • You must be able to handle cash or credit transactions and have scheduling/organization proficiency.
  • This job requires light work
  • - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently with a regular need to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Long hours may be required.
  • Spa inspections of locker or rest facilities will require the ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
  • This role works under variable temperature conditions and noise levels and is primarily indoors with chemical, fume, or odor hazards as well as dust or mite hazards potentially being present.
